John Wilson is an associate attorney at Farrow-Gillespie Heath Wilmoth LLP, where his practice focuses on probate and trust litigation, probate proceedings, and estate planning.

Before joining the firm, John gained experience through clerkships and externships involving complex commercial litigation, government compliance, administrative law, university counsel matters, and prosecution support. This background gives him a practical perspective in assisting clients, evaluating contested matters, and advocating for clients facing estate, trust, and fiduciary disputes.

A fourth-generation graduate of the University of Arkansas, John earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Economics, cum laude, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law, where he was active in advocacy competitions and served on the law school’s Board of Advocates. During law school, John was named Champion, Best Advocate, and Best Closing Argument in the William H. Sutton Trial Competition.

After law school, John continued his legal education at SMU Dedman School of Law, where he earned his LL.M. in Taxation.

Outside of his legal practice, John enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks, and now the SMU Mustangs too.
