Madeleine Gerdes is an associate attorney at Farrow-Gillespie Heath Wilmoth LLP.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, she was an active member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and was recognized for her academic achievements as a Provost Scholar. She also belonged to the Order of Omega Honor Society and the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society.
Madeleine returned to her home state of Texas to pursue her Juris Doctor at the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law, where she received the CALI Award for Conflicts of Law. During law school, she demonstrated a strong commitment to public service by volunteering with the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, assisting veterans through the organization’s legal clinic. She also served with UNT Dallas’s Community Lawyering Center, providing pro bono legal assistance in a variety of civil matters to underserved communities throughout North Texas.
Madeleine began her legal career handling personal injury and general liability litigation, and brings this experience to her practice at FGHW in probate, lease enforcement and foreclosure, adoption proceedings, and affordable and subsidized housing law.
Outside of her practice, Madeleine remains actively involved in her community. She volunteers with Cody’s Friends Animal Rescue, Feed My Starving Children and is an engaged member of her church community at Shoreline City.
